Truth in Advertising Project

Reflection
Advertisements can appear on billboards, in videos, on TV, on the radio, and in books/ magazines/ websites. They show up very often throughout most of our days and can be split into different sub genres.
I believe advertisements for fast food are the most influencing (although most ads are). They show images of their food and are aimed at those watching who are hungry at that moment, which would influence them to purchase the food. Advertisements for clothing lines cater to the audience who wants to look and feel like the model on the ad; they would buy the clothes ion order to accomplish this.
In a free market like the one we live in, I do not feel that advertisements should be regulated by the government, no matter what they are (as long as they are not directly offensive). Since ads can influence us however, we should promote free thinking among the audience to keep them from blindly following advertisements.
